Naromoru trekking trail offers a beautiful view of mt kenya main peaks.It allows a fast approach to the rock climbing routes on south west face not to mention the normal route up nelion 5188m.It starts at Naromoru Gate at 2400m giving way to a gradual gradient to Met Station at 3048m.

The rainforest is  characterised by the hard wood indigenious species of camphor, brown olive,podocapus that later give way to the Tall bamboo sticks from 2800metres.Tree line is marked by the African Rose Wood that pushes the forest behind to join the open Moorland of Tussock grass up to an elevation of 4500m.The traverse is to the north side that is a bit dry with a rugged landscape characterised by stretching Valleys

Day 1: Naro-Moru Town to Meteorological  station(3048m).
Walk through the rain forest for 4hrs to met station for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Met station -Mackinders Camp
Breakfast at 7a.m. After breakfast  hike up across the moorland taking 5hrs to
Mackinders camp (4300m) for dinner and overnight .Lunch is enroute at picnic rocks.

Day 3: Mackinders-Top Hut 4790metres 
Dine for breakfast at 7am.The trek Start at 8.30am climbing up a steep ridge to Austrian hut(4790m) for dinner and overnight.You are served wiht hot soup and slices of bread on arrival.

Day 4: Top Hut-Lenana point-Shipton-Old moses
Wake up at 5am.Climb Point lenana (4985m)for sunrise at 0630hrs .Descend to
shiptons (4250m)for breakfast. Continue downwards to oldmoses hut (3300m) for
dinner &ovemight.Picnic lunch on the way.

Day 5: Old Mose-Nairobi  
After breakfast walk down to sirimon gate (2650m) for transport to Nanyuki for lunch.Drive on for 3hrs to Nairobi arriving early evening
