Naromoru trail being the short route allows a quick access to the mountain and offers an advantage to traverse through to Chogoria in the eastern side of the mountain.Chogoria route is the most scenic route hence going down is a breath taking opportunity to enjoy its splendid features including the vertical temple in the canyon,table hills and as well spectacular rainforest.

DAY I: Nairobi(1650m)- Naromoru(2100m)
Leave Nairobi at 9.30 am. to Naro Moru (2200m) for Lunch, Dinner & Overnight in the Lodge.

DAY 11: Naromoru-Meteorogical Station(3048m)
Dine for Breakfast at 8.00 a.m. in the hotel. Leave at 9.30 a.m. in a 4 Wheel Drive to Naro Moru Park Gate (2400m). The 10km hike will see us in Met Station (3040m) after 3 1/2 hours where Dinner and Overnight is to be spent.
Picnic Lunch is served under Canopy rainforest on the way.

DAY III: Met Station-Mackinders Camp(4300m) 
Wake up at 6.00 am for Breakfast. The day's hike is scheduled to start
exactly at 7.00 a.m. and will take us about 5 hours through a vast moorland
characterized by a wet vertical Bogg to Mackinders Camp (4300m) for Dinner &
Overnight. Lunch is served at Picnic Rocks about half way to Mackinders.

DAY IV: Mackinders
Breakfast is served at 8.00 a.m. This is acclimatization day which involves a walk to the Two Tarns (4500m) via the American Camp back to Mackinders for the Hot Lunch, Dinner & Overnight,

DAY V: Mackinders-Austrian Hut(4790m)
Wake up at 7.00 a.m. for Breakfast. Leave at about 8.30 a.m. to hike up a
sharp ridge of scree to Austrian Hut (4790m) for Hot Lunch, Dinner & Overnight-

DAY VI: Austrian Hut -Lenana Point(4985m)-Meru Mt kenya Lodge
Wake up at 5.00 a.m for Tea and cookies. A hike to the Summit (4985m)
will take about 1 hour along the edge of the Lewis Glacier. Full Breakfast is at
Mintos Hut (4200m) via the way down to Chogoria Bandas (2950m) for Dinner &
Overnight. Lunch is at Road head (3300m).

DAY VII: Chogoria Bandas-Nairobi
After Breakfast at 7.00 a.m. walk down for 10 km to connect a 4 Wheel
Drive to Chogoria Town. After Lunch in the Hotel leave immediately to Nairobi.
